Singing at Ashton Court
Hello Mandy
The feedback has been fantastic for the whole evening – which obviously included the Avon-Harmony. Ruth, the organiser of the event thought that you were lovely, and that the atmosphere that you created was more than they expected. I guess this had something to with the fact that there were a lot more of you than i thought i’d booked – which was brilliant!
Please pass on my thanks to all concerned – i believe you were all en-route to another venue, so i guess it was convenient for everyone to come here first.
I’m sure that i’ll get the chance to either recommend the Avon-Harmony again, or to book you directly for events that we occasionally put together ourselves.
Have a fabulous Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Very best wishes
Sharon
Review of our performance at Oldland Music Festival
In July 2011 the Avon Harmony Group sang for us under the guidance of their musical director David Proud at the ‘Oldland Music Festival’ in Bristol. Both myself and the committee involved were thrilled with the performance they gave. Avon Harmony really is a class act and embodies the true meaning of barbershop singing which is ‘to provide 4 part vocal Harmony with a high degree of skill and a real level of unity and consistency within the ensemble. The delivery is from the heart and leads to an emotionally satisfying experience’. I think this summarises exactly what Avon Harmony do so very well and with their own unique style which has flair and panache. The group are the upmost professionals to work with and engage with both their material and their audience wholeheartedly. We could not have asked for a better performance and would certainly book them again and recommend them without hesitation.
